The summer of 2009 was full of activity for Last Frontier Mnistries. This summer we worked with Teen Mania Ministires and hosted over 230 students in 7 different villages. We participated in a variety of activities while the students were her. Our activities included gathering fish from fish wheels, planting garden, splitting wood, holding Vacation Bible School, holding adult and youth Bible studies, hanging out within the communities and getting to know the people. Our focus this past summer was along the Tok cut off, Chitna and as far north as Eagle. We had a great time.
In January of 2009 Last Forntier Ministries travel to the Fiji Islands, specifically the Island of Naviti of the Yasawa Island chain. We stayed in the village of Gunu for 3 weeks assisting the villagers during the terrible rains that hit Fiji. (You may have heard about it on the news.) We also assisted in gathering food and firewood, performed minor medical work in 3 villages and were able to preach the word to the villagers as we helped them medically. In the village of Kesse we had a great time preaching in the Assembly of Godchurch tht was followed by great ministry.
Summer 2010 was another great time of ministry. Last Frontier Ministries again partnered with Teen Mania Ministries in bringing up three teams to Alaska. What an exciting time. One of the teams headed off to Homer for a few days and then took the ferry to Port Lions where they had great ministry and even met the local wildlife (the Kodiak Grizzly). They were all at a safe distance. Other teams were able to travel into the interior and assist in berry picking, smoking fish, playing basketball, and assisted in several work projects. Most importantly they were able to spread the gospel different through VBS, drama and one on one personal evangelism.
